Haitham Eid is an artist, educator, art curator and conservator. He works in different projects and has many activities. Please feel free to navigate his website. If you have any questions or comments, he can be reached via email: haieid@yahoo.com

 Haitham Eid was born in Egypt in 1978. Eid was introduced to the art world in a very young age. His father is Abdelrazek Eid, a well-known Egyptian artist and businessman. He received his Masters Degree in Museum Studies from Southern University at New Orleans, USA in 2008 and his Bachelor’s in Archaeology from Cairo University, Egypt in 1999.

 Eid was granted the 2007 BW Fellowship Award from the Association of African American Museums (AAAM). He received proclamation letters from Ray Nagin, Mayor of New Orleans, City Council of New Orleans, Tulane University, New Orleans African American Museum and Southern University at New Orleans for “Promoting International Understanding Through The Arts”.

 Currently, Eid teaches art at Andrew H. Wilson Charter School in New Orleans after he taught for many years in a nationwide project for Young Audiences Inc., which brings art to the public schools. Eid also worked in the conservation project to rescue the African artifacts collection of SUNO after it was submerged during hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

 Eid paints in several media. He has participated in many art exhibits such as the International Muslim Artists Exhibition (IMAE) at New Orleans African American Museum , 2007 and the First International Art Exhibit at Tulane University, New Orleans, 2008, which he has curated also, the 10th Anuual Dr. Martin L. King Art Exhibit at New Orleans African American Museum, Inspiration Exhibition at New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Gallery and the 26th Annual WYES TV Art Exhibit, New Orleans, Louisiana, 2008.
